Kenny James, born on December 4, 1986 in Sheffield, England, is a talented artist, entertainer and musician with an unparalleled passion for music. His versatility as a musician and performer has brought him to both national and international stages. With his latest project, the Kenny James Big Show, he is conquering the Netherlands and giving his audiences a unique musical experience.

First steps in the music world

Kenny’s musical journey began at a young age. At the age of six, he started playing the trumpet, but two years later he found his true love behind the piano. Inspired by his musical family, he spent hours in his room listening to music and practicing to perfect his piano skills. This dedication laid the foundation for his career as a professional musician.

First performances and international experience

Kenny took his first professional steps as a pianist in his father’s jazz band. This gave him valuable experience at a young age by performing both at home and abroad. This period formed the basis for his musical style and performance skills.

Relocation to Norway and breakthrough at Crazy Piano’s

In search of new challenges, Kenny James moved to Norway, where he further developed his flair as an entertainer in various piano bars. Not much later, he made the switch to the famous Crazy Piano’s in Scheveningen, where he quickly became one of the popular ‘Hot dogs’. The Netherlands became his new home, where he further developed his musical career.

Success with The Coronas

A major turning point in his career came when Kenny was asked to become the frontman and singer of The Coronas, at the time the most popular cover band in the Netherlands. With this successful band, he performed at major events such as the Holland Heineken House and the 538 Feest in a sold-out Ziggo Dome. He also shone on the largest festival stages and events in the Netherlands.

The founding of The Big Swingers

In 2016, Kenny decided to follow his own musical path and founded The Big Swingers, a four-piece cover band with a unique dynamic and style. The band quickly grew in popularity and performed about a hundred times a year both at home and abroad.

A versatile showman on Dutch stages

With his regular drummer Bas Meijndert and as a multi-instrumentalist, Kenny James takes the audience on a musical rollercoaster in his latest live show. In September 2024, he was on stage for the first time with the Kenny James Big Show during an exclusive event by Bentley Rotterdam.

Since then, Kenny James has been touring the Netherlands with his new show and adding an impressive chapter to his musical and entertainment career. With his unique style and versatility as an artist, he continues to surprise his audience time and time again.
