Collin Hoeve invariably surprises his audience with cheerful up-tempo songs, which he apparently simply alternates with moving ballads. In addition, he is disarmingly candid in his performance and in between tells the light-hearted, poignant and always striking and entertaining stories behind his songs.
You might know him from his participation in Holland’s Got Talent and The Voice Of Holland. He could also be seen at De Week Van Gelderland, where he made a song on the spot about the topics discussed in the broadcast.
In 2014 he set the world record for Writing Songs during 3FM Serious Request. He wrote 105 custom songs within 24 hours.
His musical heroes are John Mayer, Jason Mraz and James Taylor and you can certainly hear influences from this in the songs of Collin Hoeve. This singer-songwriter doesn’t like to work too much within a style, but it always remains a recognizable Collin Hoeve song.
